The SAT-550 and GSP-1600 are Globalstar's handheld phones; they put global communication capabilities directly in the hands of our customers. With an optional data kit, laptops and PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) devices can be connected to the Internet virtually anywhere in the world. Maritime and vehicle kits readily convert these portable phones into fixed systems, allowing customers to use their phones inside yachts, cars and buildings.
The GSP-2900 and FAU-200 fixed satellite phone systems connect vessels, offices and residences to the global telephone network using standard equipment and wiring.
